Experience...
I found a cool way to travel for cheap and get free tickets to Disney. The timeshare resorts want people to visit their properties so badly that they will almost pay you to stay with them or at least visit them for an hour or two. They don’t require you to buy any thing they just wnat you to look and listen. The timeshare and vacation ownership companies use a marketing campaign known as mini vacations. A mini vacation is when the resort offers X # of nights accommodations for an unbelievable low price, like 2 nights for $59. The catch to this low price is they will require that you take a tour of their property and attend a sales presentation which usually last an hour to two hours. They do not require that you buy anything. Their goal is just to inform you about their products and services. After you attend the presentation they will give you gifts for attending. The gifts are usually worth more than what you paid for the X # of nights accommodations. Gifts that are commonly given are amusement tickets, gift certificates, additional vacations and sometimes money. The resorts are a little picky about who can take advantage of these mini vacations. That is because ideally they want people who are most likely to buy their product to visit their resort. If they are going to put so much of their time and resources into their marketing campaigns they want to make sure it is toward their target market even if the guest if not going to buy. (Remember their goal is to inform the people that are most likely and qualified to buy.) That is why they have qualifications for the mini vacations. Common qualifications of these mini vacations will require that the guest is of a specified age, resident, make a minimum income, have a major credit card and photo ID and if they are married engaged or cohabitation their spouse must attend the presentation with them. Not all resorts have the same qualifications so check the terms and conditions to see what they are. In the end these mini vacations are worth taking advantage of. You get to stay at nice resorts for cheap and get free stuff just for spending a little time listening. Vacation companies have come a long way from the “hard-sell” days. Not surprisingly, research has shown that buyers do not respond favorably to this tactic. Through the process of sharing with their guest the many features and benefits of their resorts, the process has evolved into a fun & festive environment, one that you will be thoroughly pleased to be a part of. These vacation resort professionals are focused on building a relationship, not just closing the sale. Websites such as http://travelbargains.org provide these mini vacations for different destinations like Orlando, San Diego, Atlantic City and Lake Havasu. [360]
